BlackTree Tea to Open First Singapore Outlet at 313@Somerset - The Tea War #3 | ENGLISH

Singapore's competitive tea market remains fierce in 2026, proven by the entry of several tea chains, including BlackTree (黑树). The Chinese F&B joint will open its first overseas outlet on the first floor of 313@Somerset.

BlackTree's history before its overseas debut is actually quite short. According to its social media account, the chain began its operation in 2025 with the first outlet at MixC Shenzhen Bay mall. As of mid-2026, BlackTree has opened around 18 locations in Mainland China.[1]

STORE & BRAND CONCEPT
BlackTree is promoted as the crossroad between city life and the countryside experience, combining traditional flavor and modern ideas.[2] In case you did not know, BlackTree is known for its Thai tea and coffee beverages.

Most of BlackTree's outlets feature a contemporary design that blends metal, concrete, and wooden elements. Their visual style is quite different compared to other tea chains.

MENU
The chain distinguishes itself by blending traditional Thai tea with coffee and various toppings to create unique flavors (and layers). In its home country (China), BlackTree offers four main product categories: Thai tea, cocoa, fruit tea, and gelato.

Thai Tea: 400-Times Lava Thai Tea, Thai tea coconut jelly, and Thai tea with cheese topping.

Cocoa: Cocoa lava beverage, Chocolate beverage with vanilla seeds, and Thai cocoa duo.

Fruit tea: White guava mangosteen oolong iced tea, white guava lemon sour, and red apple Thai tea.

Gelato: Lemongrass flavor, Thai milk flavor, and tamarind flavor.

Besides BlackTree, there are several new entrants in 2026, including Molly Tea (also from China). Molly Tea kicked off its Singapore venture with the opening of Orchard Central outlet in March 2026. The Chinese-based chain brands itself as a modern tea house with strong emphasize on floral tea, which is similar to Chagee, Beutea, and AMPS Tea.
