HOT CRUSH also uses bright or pastel tones (cream, pink, or green) to distinguish its stores from competitors.

Just like any other bakeries, HOT CRUSH adopts self-service system, where customers can choose their favorite bread before paying at the cashier. To maintain product hygiene, the product display is equipped with a transparent door.

The presence of this unique bakery will boost competition in Southeast Asia, specially in Malaysia. But it will also face stiff competition from several brands, including Paris Baguette (SPC Group Korea & Berjaya Food), Verrona Hills, and Lavender Bakery.

Tous Les Jours, which closed around 2017, also returns to Malaysia in 2025. This time, TLJ is brought and operated by Stream Empire Holdings, a retail company that manages dozens of sports and activewear stores.
