The Colorist Opens First Overseas Store in Pavilion Bukit Jalil | ENGLISH

The Colorist, a renowned Chinese beauty store chain under KK Group (KKV), is set to make its international debut in Malaysia. The brand plans to open its first store at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on December 19, 2024, followed by a second location in Central i-City Mall, Shah Alam.

The store's interior boasts a contemporary design, featuring pastel pink and bright lighting. Making its store look inviting and contrast from other brands. First opened in October 2019, The Colorist has grown into a giant with over 200 locations across China (as of 2022).[1]

Known for its extensive product range of over 5,500 SKUs per store, The Colorist targets young customers (Gen Z) with a wide variety of affordable beauty products. Customers can find , lipsticks, perfumes, eyeliners, eyeshadows, body care products, and even accessories.

While The Colorist primarily features Chinese brands (for example: Uhue, Puco, Colorkey, Kato-Kato), it also includes products from other countries, particularly Japan and South Korea. It is likely that their Malaysian stores will also sell local beauty brands.

KKV and The Colorist in Malaysia are operating under a partnership between KK Group and MR DIY Company. The company plans to open at least 20 new KKV stores in 2025. Additionally, X11, a toy and collectible store chain owned by KK Group, will also be making its debut in Malaysia.
