Following KKV's Step, OH!SOME Enters Malaysian Market | ENGLISH

Soon, OH!SOME, a lifestyle and variety store will set foot in Malaysia with stores at AEON Mall Dato Onn and AEON Mall Taiping on September 30, 2024. This makes Malaysia the 2nd country to have OH!SOME.

The stores will feature products from many categories, including snacks, drinks, cosmetic, household goods, toys (and blind boxes), and consumer electronics.

OH!SOME was initially launched in August 2024 as a rebranded version of KKV Indonesia. The decision to rebrand came after KKV Indonesia was sold to local partners in 2022. Hence, there are similarities between KKV and OH!SOME, especially its colorful interior and yellow (as main color).

Both KKV and OH!SOME usually comes in big size, with store size around 300-3000 sqm. Its interactive and themed design makes it stand out from similar retailers. The latter can be game changing for many brands in this day of age, with more people becoming social media influencers, a photogenic spot can attract more shoppers (at least in short term).

Earlier this year (2024), KKV ventured into Malaysia with its first store in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. It will be interesting to see who will dominate the Malaysian market, KKV or OH!SOME? or there will be a shocker?
